Welcome! I’m Tracy Chapman Stuart, the owner of Larkspur Counseling & Therapy, LLC, and a licensed therapist who specializes in supporting women as they navigate the complexities of life. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, or trying to make sense of the transitions and pressures that come with life, my goal is to help you build a strong foundation of emotional resilience, so you can step into your future with clarity and confidence.
My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Northwestern College of Iowa in addition to a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Dakota. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor-Mental Health (LPC-MH) in South Dakota, which means I have completed over 3,000 hours of direct clinical, supervised experience in addition to passing state licensure exams and completing required continuing education hours every 2 years.
My approach to therapy is warm, supportive, and collaborative. I believe that healing happens in a space where you feel truly seen, heard, and understood. Together, we’ll work through the challenges holding you back and help you build the tools to move forward with strength and resilience.
I’m so glad you found your way here. If you’re ready to start your journey toward healing and self-discovery, I’d love to connect and begin working together.
About me.
My approach to therapy.
I believe that therapy should be a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. My approach integrates a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to meet your unique needs, focusing on both healing and practical strategies for moving forward:
-
Rooted in empathy and unconditional positive regard, this approach helps you feel seen, heard, and valued as you explore your emotions and experiences, fostering a deeper sense of self-understanding.
-
By identifying and challenging negative thought patterns, CBT helps you replace unhelpful ways of thinking with healthier, more balanced perspectives, empowering you to respond differently to life's challenges.
-
Focused on your strengths and resources, this approach encourages you to identify solutions and actionable steps, helping you build a clear, goal-directed path forward from where you are now.
-
This powerful approach helps process deep-seated trauma and emotional pain by focusing on where you feel tension or discomfort in your body, facilitating healing at a deep and transformative level.
