FAQs
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you’re feeling stuck or overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or self-doubt, therapy can be a helpful space to gain clarity, tools for coping, and deeper self-understanding. Therapy is for anyone who is open to self-exploration and growth.
What can I expect in a therapy session?
Our sessions will be a collaborative process. We’ll talk openly about what’s on your mind, explore the challenges you’re facing, and work together to develop strategies for moving forward. You’ll be in a safe, supportive space where you can express yourself without judgment.
Do you offer online therapy?
Yes, I offer online therapy through secure video sessions, which allows for more flexibility and convenience. You can attend therapy from the comfort of your home or wherever is most comfortable for you. (My current license is to practice in the State of South Dakota, so online therapy sessions must be within the state.)
Do you accept my insurance?
I am currently credentialed with Wellmark Blue Cross and Blue Shield as well as Avera Health Plans. Many insurance plans offer reimbursement for out-of-network providers, so if you have a provider other than those listed, I can provide a superbill or receipt to submit for reimbursement. I always encourage potential clients to reach out to their insurance provider for specifics on their mental health coverage and out of pocket responsibility. For those without insurance or who wish to opt out of their insurance benefits, I also offer self-pay rates.
